Internet of Things (IoT)

Real-time connectivity solutions bringing new opportunities to enable access for businesses that require data monitoring for remote infrastructure such as gas pipelines, or the agricultural industry where connectivity is required for data collection devices in remote locations.^

Internet bandwidth to suit IoT

Bandwidth for the IoT wholesale product starts from as low as 10/10kbps - this means customers only pay for the bandwidth they require.

High quality

Whilst it may be low speed, IoT data can be mission critical – with this in mind business nbn® Satellite Service IoT provides both Committed Information Rate (CIR) and Peak Information Rate (PIR) wholesale bandwidth profiles.

High reliability

A dependable network architecture that is designed to deliver an accessible network solution.

Key features are:

Service providers can procure bandwidth from as low as 10/10kbps to support low data applications up to 2/2Mbps. Furthermore, bandwidth is available as both CIR or PIR bandwidth profiles.

The CIR bandwidth has been designed to deliver high data performance over the satellite network.

IoT is deployed with dual nbn-provided internet links, i.e. connects to two separate/different Points of Interconnection (POI), to improve network availability.
